Luna Joya has done another book signing, and once again, so many of us were unable to attend. (Yes, I mean me. I am so many. Darn this distance between us!) Since so many of us don't live in California and can't always get to her when she does a signing, I thought it would be best to give us all a recap--so we don't feel TOO left out. So, in case you missed it, Luna Joya (author of the Legacy Series and the upcoming Wicked series signed with City Owl Press) joined in on a book signing at the Irwindale Spring Book Festival, where her books heated the very air around her. Okay, so technically it was the sun, but either way, it was really hot. And our hexy, sexy romance author hid under a baseball cap to try to keep from turning into a tomato. Picture below for proof. The four hour festival took place under the blaze of the California sun outside the Irwindale Library, and held many beloved authors, such as Dominique Laura, Mary Dean, Kelly Violet, Tonya Clark, Naomi Springthorp, Jennifer Irwin, Aviva Vaughn, Kristina Luckey, A.M. Roark, J. Bengsston, Ashley Lynn, Teri Kay, Jenn D. Young, Lisa Becker, Mia Hopkins, R.L. Merill, and Joy Eileen. Also at the event were special vendors from Belle Book Box and Mystic Box, and some children book authors: Ellie Lieberman, Dr. Dawn Menge, and Trevor Murray. DC Renee, unfortunately wasn't able to attend. This was actually the second annual Irwindale Spring Book Festival. It had a selection of authors from all genres, so I can only imagine how big it will be next year! Luna actually got to snag a photo shoot with some friends--a.k.a. freakin' awesome authors. Is this or is this not a fan girl worthy moment? And last, but not least we have the yearbook worthy group photo of all the authors that came together to make the event spectacular.
There were some rumors going about that some of the same authors would be at the Lil' Book Bug Event in L.A., and maybe the Phoenix Reader Envy Event. Though we can't confirm or deny who. We can confirm that it will be hot when Wicked Crown finally finds its way into readers hands. (The weather, I mean, though, it's a book from Joya, so obviously keep those spicy materials away from any flammable materials as well.) But that's the ONLY hint we're able to give at the moment.

Author Luna Joya has had a busy time this February, with two scheduled signings in as many weeks, leaving those of us not in California left out in the cold. *sniffles*
However, those in California and others with the ability to road trip there, got to see the red-headed author as she signed copies of her Legacy Series. Check out some highlights below! Open Book Canyon Country Book Store Signing
Her first signing took place at The Open Book Canyon Country book store in Santa Clarita, California, on February 12, 2022, where she accompanied authors Lizzy Gayle and Lesley O'Sullivan as they lured in unsuspecting readers with candy and pretty covers, and then boom--book sales!
The primary focus of the event was actually Leslie O'Sullivan's debut novel, Pink Guitars and Falling Stars (978-1648981586, Mystic Owl, $14,99, p. 298), during the signing, the authors held raffles and did readings from their books. Many thanks to the Open Book Store for sharing their space and audience. The Love and Devotion Event Signing
On February 19, 2022, Joya packed up her bags and headed for the Love and Devotion Event at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina.
The event included not only lovely views of boats docked in the bay, but a luncheon for readers with VIP passes, where they got to sit and chat with 49 of their favorite authors, models ripped straight from the covers of their favorite romance novels, and the voices of our beloved audiobooks. Added to the lure were swag bags. Darn our inability to road trip in time! Many thanks to the Love and Devotion Author Events for holding such a wonderful event! And also...
As if there wasn't enough going on this month, it's now official! Mystic Owl announced that they've snagged the contract for Joya's upcoming novel, How to Date a Fury.
And Rumor has it:
Last, but not least, rumor has it How to Date a Fury is not the only book to be announced this year, but shhh. Watch this space.
